Leggett and Platt Company

Leggett and Platt adjustable beds are made in America, assembled in Georgetown, Kentucky.  This is part of the manufacturer’s desire to create jobs right here at home.  Leggett & Platt began as a family company back in the 1800s, after the invention of mattress coils by JP Leggett.  Originally, the company focused on mattress parts, but it has since grown into a multi-faceted enterprise.  Continued innovation from its research and development team has broadened its product offering to include furniture and adjustable beds.

Leggett and Platt Adjustable Beds Sizes

Leggett and Platt builds adjustable beds in a good variety of sizes. This brand has models in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, Split King, and California King. There are two options for the California King size; the single California King adjustable bed or the split California King adjustable bed. Not all bases come in every size. For example, the Prodigy 2.0 does not come in Split California King, but it does come in a single, or Horizontal, King. A Prodigy Comfort Elite is not offered in a single King but it is available in a split king.

Leggett and Platt Prices

Prices for Leggett & Platt adjustable beds do vary upon which model is selected. The highest-end model, the Leggett and Platt Prodigy Comfort Elite, comes with most features and a heftier price tag. The next highest price comes on the Leggett and Platt Prodigy 2.0. This model is very similar, but it lacks the lumbar support. Below these, falls the Leggett and Platt S-Cape 2.0 and the Simplicity 3.0. The difference between them is that Leggett and Platt Simplicity 3.0 is a lower-profile base without the Wall Hugger feature. Prices often correlate with the number and quality of features included.

Leggett & Platt Adjustable Bed and Mattress

Matching a Leggett & Platt adjustable bed and mattress together is fairly easy. Most any mattress will work with an adjustable bed these days. Some older mattresses that were made using a connected coil system are not compatible with adjustable beds. These should be out of commission at this point, having surpassed their useful life. The coil mattresses manufactured in recent days usually incorporate independent coils, which work fine with an adjustable bed. Other mattresses that can be used with adjustable beds include memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses. So, most mattresses work with Leggett & Platt adjustable beds.

Leggett & Platt Replacement Parts

As a company deep-rooted in the industry, Leggett and Platt has a long history with customers. If replacement parts are ever necessary, they are typically no problem to acquire. A customer service form is available online to contact the company directly with parts requests.  Leggett & Platt is not a fly-by-night company, it has been around for years. That means getting replacement parts down the line, should they ever be needed, will be reasonably easy.
