Average Height of the Bed

What Is the Average Height of the Bed?

The average height of the bed frame is 15 inches. 15 inches is the height of the bed frame with a simple metal bed frame and the box foundation. This measurement is measured from the ground to the top of the box foundation. In most cases, most bed frames are built with the same height, and the adjustable beds are 15 inches in height because 15 inches’ height is the standard height for any bed frame.

How to Adjust the Height of the Bed Frame?

There are a few different ways of adjusting the a bed frame. You can adjust your bed frame using the bed raiser, adjustable bed, or have a taller bed frame.

  • Bed Risers: Bed risers is the cheapest way to adjust the total height of the bed frame. This bed raiser can go underneath the legs to adjust the total height of the bed.
  • Adjustable Bed: The legs of the bed can come with adjustable legs depending on the model.
  • Taller Bed Frame: Some bed frames are taller than the average bed frames, but these are more custom-made or are custom-height bed frames.

Are there ways to lower the bed frame?

There are no real ways of lowering the bed frame. If you have an adjustable bed, the legs of the bed can be adjusted lower, but there is no real way to lower the bed frame for the bed frames with the box foundation.

Our Thoughts
The average bed frame height is 15 inches to the box foundation, slats, or adjustable bed. There are a few different ways of adjusting the overall height of the bed frame. These ways of adjusting the bed frames include the bed risers, adjustable bed, and tall bed frame. Bed risers are the cheapest way to adjust the overall height of the bed frame. However, some customers would prefer an adjustable bed with features such as zero gravity, head and foot movement, elevation features, and many more.
