What an Adjustable Bed with Zero Clearance?
Adjustable beds with zero clearance must be able to lie flat without legs while moving through positioning. These beds typically have no moving parts beneath the frame which enables this to occur.
Most adjustable beds have to have legs in order to operate. That’s because the motor and mechanisms that run the adjustable bed are located under them as seen in the photo above. These move when the head and/or feet are adjusted. When a bed states that it has zero clearance, this is not the case.
Profile Height
The Rize Contemporary IV has a profile of 4.6 inches without the legs, and the Kingship Comfort Premier has a profile of 2.5 inches. Knowing the profile height is important because it shows how high the adjustable bed is without its legs. This is the main feature that allows compatibility with platform beds.
