Mattress for Tall People
Buying a mattress for tall people can be difficult because many require a custom-sized mattress and bed frame. Some of the larger mattresses for tall people are Texas king-size mattresses, which measure 80 inches wide and 98 inches long. There are many different sizes, such as Alaskan King, Texas King, Wyoming King, and custom sizes. The Alaskan King measures 108″ x 108″, the Texas King measures 80″ x 98″, and the Wyoming King measures 84″ x 84″.
Person’s Height 6′ 5″ and Above
For people with a build of over 6’5” we recommend skipping straight to the Texas or Alaskan models. Both are produced with extended length for ample leg room. If two people will share the bed, the Alaskan would be better as it is significantly wider as well. All of the other sizes would be a tight fit length-wise and might not be the best mattress for tall people of this caliber. For the tallest in this category, the Alaskan or Texas would provide the proper foundation for a good night’s sleep.
Person’s Height 6′ and Above
Pretty much any of these larger sizes mentioned could be the best mattress for a tall person of 6 feet. If you want the smallest mattress that would work, opt for the California King or the Wyoming King. Both of these have a seven-foot length and can technically fit a person of 6’ or shorter. Between the two, the Wyoming is better for couples in which one or more people is tall due to its more generous width.
