What is a Twin XXL mattress?

A Twin XXL is longer than a classic twin and even a Twin XL.  Unlike these other twin sizes, the Twin XXL is 39 inches wide.  Other twins are a little thinner in width at 38 inches.  However, the larger difference is that the Twin XXL is 84 inches long compared to 75” and 80” respectively.  That gives it the same length as a California King size mattress without taking up so much space width-wise.  This size is ideal for sleeping alone if tall in stature.  Its generous length can also better oblige pets sleeping at the foot of the bed.

Twin XXL Mattress Options

These three mattresses come in the Twin XXL size.  Twin XXL beds come in various styles including hybrid and foam.  They are also available in comfort levels of soft, medium and firm.  Different composition is used in development to generate the differing firmness.  Read more below.

10″ Kingship Comfort Classic 3 Mattress- Soft

Made in the USA, this hybrid Twin XXL mattress has a soft surface.  What gives it this comfort level is an integration of three layers and a pillow-top organic cotton mattress cover.  The uppermost portion is made up of a liberal 3 inches Superior Gel Memory Foam.  While this layer is directly responsible for softness, it also manages to keep the mattress cool and reduce pressure points.

There are also a couple all-foam Twin XXL options.   This one lands in the middle of the firmness spectrum.  While it also has the Superior Gel Memory Foam layer, it is thicker and complimented with a 6” high-density foam base.  Not only does this ensure a medium firmness, it also reinforces the support this mattress offers and increases its durability.  It is also made in the USA.

10″ Kingship Comfort Classic 1 Mattress-Firm

A substantial base comprised of seven inches of high-density poly foam makes this mattress the firmest of the three choices.  It also boasts three inches of Superior Gel Memory Foam allowing it to provide cooling comfort.  Plus, like the others, it is manufactured without ozone depleters, chemical flame retardants and other harmful toxins.  The pillow top cover is organic cotton fabric which allows for hypoallergenic, moisture-free sleep.

Twin XXL is a Unique Size Mattress

Most people will find that while a Twin-size mattress has its benefits, it may be just to small for some.  The Twin XXL mattress is a sound alternative.  It offers a slightly larger width that doesn’t impose on the allotted bedroom space.  That means it can fit in smaller rooms better than many larger sizes of mattress.  Additionally, it adds considerably to the usable length of the bed.  This can be a great advantage, especially for taller individuals.  When all is said and done, the Twin XXL mattress meets the need for a long bed that isn’t oversized.
