Simply put, a wall hugger bed is an adjustable bed that has a WallHugger® feature.  This feature activates when the head is raised or lowered.  A wall hugger bed initiates a backwards motion as the head is raised.  Then, it moves the bed base forward as the head is let down.  The idea behind this system is to allow head movement without pushing the body forward, away from the bedside table.
