It is what they do on a daily basis that is the reason they have been in business so long. It starts with designing mattresses using science-backed sleep research and using high-caliber materials in construction. Then before sending mattresses out, each one is tested for support. Kingsdown Mattress Options
Kingsdown Sleep Smart Air Mattress-Adjustable Comfort
When it comes to a mattress, proper support is key to a good night’s sleep. The Kingsdown Sleep Smart Air Mattress is an adjustable air mattress. This mattress is divided into three zones of air chambers that can be individually calibrated. Simply use the app control to manually select the comfort level desired for each area. Not sure what setting would yield the ideal support? This Smart Mattress also has an app setting available that automatically determines the perfect comfort level for your body.
16.5” Kingsdown Brimstead Eurotop Mattress-Soft
If interested in a soft mattress, there are a couple Kingsdown mattresses to choose from. The Kingsdown Brimstead Eurotop Mattress is the thickest mattress available in this series with a height of 16.5 inches. It features tri-zone coils for targeted support. One unique aspect of this mattress is the latex in the lumbar portion. It also has a thicker, 1.5” quilting poly gel upper layer. This, combined with the 2” plush foam beneath 2.5” conv. plush foam, gives the Brimstead mattress a very soft feel.
16” Kingsdown Ellerman Eurotop Mattress-Soft
Another soft Kingsdown mattress is the Ellerman Eurotop Mattress. This mattress has a similar makeup to it as the Brimstead with a few differences. The Kingsdown Ellerman hybrid mattress uses a multi-layer system that offers support and comfort. It has 18-gauge tri-zoned coils, a two-inch thick conv. plush foam, and a half inch latex layer. In overall feel, the Brimstead and the Ellerman mattresses are close though the Ellerman is slightly less soft. This is due to use of an inch of firm foam under its conv. plush foam layer.
14.75” Kingsdown Holloway Eurotop Mattress-Medium
The Kingsdown Holloway Eurotop Mattress has a medium firmness. It achieves this comfort level by reducing the amount of contents within the mattress. Instead of two separate middle layers that are around 2.5” and 2”, there are two one-inch layers of plush foam. This shortens the general height of the bed mattress and gives it a medium feel. The Holloway Eurotop uses the tri-zone coils that Kingsdown is known for. Plus, it has latex at the lumbar and Full Body Surround for edge to edge support.
14.5” Kingsdown Manorwood Tight Top Mattress-Medium Firm
Manorwood Tight Top by Kingsdown is a medium-firm mattress. It is 14.5” in height from top to bottom. Even though this mattress build is like the Holloway in many ways, it is firmer because of the middle layers. The Manorwood Tight Top Mattress has only one layer of 1” plush foam, combining it with a half-inch of latex. This advances the comfort level to a little firmer than what Holloway provides. Where it lacks the extra latex in the lumbar, its 18-gauge tri-zoned coils provide increased support and durability.
13.5” Kingsdown Le Claire Tight Top Mattress- Firm
Even firmer is the Kingsdown Le Claire Tight Top Mattress. While it does include latex for lumbar support, it leaves out the full latex layer found on the Manorwood. As part of the Kingsdown Passion Series, this mattress also makes use of a tri-zoned coil system. It has motion separation foam to help prevent sleep disruptions and gel infused memory foam to enhance comfort. These are just high lights of what is included in this mattress. Kingsdown Unique Mattress Features
5 Zone Adaptive Foam: This is a flexible foam that reacts to your body. It is not temperature sensitive like memory foams. There is no need to wait for it to warm up in order to have it contour to the body. The 5 Zone Adaptive Foam also bounces back to its original shape quickly. It is designed to keep you cool and comfortable right from the start.
Edge Support Foam: Edge support foam reinforces the edges of the mattress. Its purpose is to prevent sinking at the mattress sides when sitting with legs off the side of the bed. Kingsdown hybrid mattresses also employ a special coil system on the edges to further support the mattress edges. This edge to edge support gives a larger usable surface area to the mattress.
Micro Coils: Found in the uppermost layer of the Kingsdown Passion series, Micro Coils are use to enhance comfort. These coils are fashioned for softness rather than support. They work to help the mattress reduce pressure that would otherwise affect the hips and shoulders. Painful pressure points can impact quality of sleep. An advantage of having Micro Coils in the Kingsdown mattress is potentially experiencing fewer pressure points.
Center Support Foam: On larger sized Kingsdown mattress, there is a center support foam. This piece of foam is located down the middle of the bed. It is responsible for reducing the amount of motion transfer from one side of the bed to another. It is useful for light sleepers who are often disrupted from movement coming from the other side of the bed. It is also helpful for couples who may not go to sleep or wake up at the same time.
Tri Zone Coils: These are the support coils in a Kingsdown mattress. What makes these coils different is that they are tri-zoned. That means they are sectioned off into head, lumbar and foot sections. Each segment is made specifically for the ideal support in its area. For example, the lumbar zone is constructed of a heavier coil for maximum support. Tri Zone Coils also help with motion transfer.
Full Body Support: Full body support means the top foam layer is attached to the side layer. This encases the mattress and prevents any bowing.
Joma Wool: Joma wool from New Zealand can be used between the cover and the first layer of a mattress. This durable, non-allergenic fabric is naturally flame resistant. It is used to accent temperature regulation in a mattress. This helps it provide warmth yet avoid getting too hot. It is also a very absorbent material that neutralizes humidity.
